Originally an expansion team in the , the Sidekicks went on to play in four different leagues, including the Continental Indoor Soccer League, before folding in 2004. One of the most successful indoor soccer tams in history, their legacy is carried on by the current Dallas Sidekicks of the Major Arena Soccer League.
